A pleasing piece of news has recently come from the Awarding Ceremony of 13th National Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling: graduates from Our University won two first prizes, twenty second prizes, thirty third prizes, 101 participating prizes. Among more than 500 graduate-training institutions that participated in the contest, the total score of our University ranks tenth in China. Meanwhile, our University even won the outstanding organization award from the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education and the Organizing Committee of National Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling due to goods records and excellent organizational work. The National Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling is organized by the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education. It is listed as one of the Ministry of Education’s Graduate Education Innovation Programs and one of the Contests among the Ministry of Education’s “National Graduate Innovative Practice Series”.
By participating in the Ministry of Education’s “National Graduate Innovative Practice Series”, Our University makes great efforts to cultivate our graduate students’ innovative practical ability and competitiveness and enhance the overall quality of graduate students. In order to ensure good results in the competition, the Graduate Department made an elaborate organization. In May of this year, the Graduate Department carried out a wide range of publicity and mobilization activities, invited experts to give lectures for participating graduate students, organized experience exchange meetings and conducted internal selections. Outstanding Teacher form the School of Fundamental Studies, School of Management, School of Electrical Engineering and other Schools guided participating graduates throughout the whole course.
