Shanghai Science and Technology Award Conference was grandly held in Friendship Hall of Shanghai Exhibition Center days ago to commend the scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding innovative contributions to Shanghai science and technology. Two scientific and technological achievements of our university won the awards, of which “Key Technology and Industrialization of Flexible Packaging and Intelligent Operation and Maintenance of PV Module” directed by Professor Hang Lu Bin from School of Mechanical Engineering won the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, and “Low Temperature Preparation of Highly Dispersed Nano-Titanium Dioxide and Key Techniques for Textile Functionalization” directed and completed by Professor Wang Liming from School of Fashion Engineering won the third prize.
“Key Technology and Industrialization of Flexible Packaging and Intelligent Operation and Maintenance of PV Module” has been jointly completed by the research team headed by Professor Hang Lu Bin from School of Mechanical Engineering School of Mechanical Engineering and China Electric (Shanghai) Solar Technology Co., Ltd. The Project is based on the new integrated theory of institutional structure Kinematics, the upgraded packaging equipments for photovoltaic components and the independently-developed operational and maintenance equipments for photovoltaic components. The project team have overcome difficult problems regarding collinear and flexible packaging of multi-type PV modules, power plant array PV module dust cleaning operation and maintenance technology and the industrialization thereof. The Project would bring about significant technical, economic and environmental benefits.
In regards to “Low Temperature Preparation of Highly Dispersed Nano-Titanium Dioxide and Key Techniques for Textile Functionalization” directed and completed by Professor Wang Liming from School of Fashion Engineering, the project team have developed nano-functional textile; upon technical identification and sci-tech novelty retrieval by experts, the textile is firstly created in China with novelty and practicality and has reached an international advanced level. Six national invention patents have been granted as regards to the core technology of the Project. In addition, the project team have published more than 30 high-level papers, including nearly 10 SCI or EI papers, and have trained 8 postgraduates. They also won two gold medals in Shanghai Outstanding Invention Selective Trials and one prize in Hong Kong Sang Hemp textile Technology Awards. The technical achievements have been applied by several enterprises to develop a series of multi-functional and high-performance nano-Photocatalyst composite curtains, household bedding articles, car molding carpets, car mats and so on.
The administrative and party leaders of SUES attached great importance to the application for 2016 Shanghai Science and Technology Awards. Guided by disciplinary thinking, teachers and related faculties gave a full play to the application mode combining “organized scientific research” with self-organization research. SUES held the mobilization meeting for all teachers and faculties at the quickest time, and SUES leaders held a seminar to make a top-level design; the relevant secondary Schools sorted out projects and organized the application from their connotation requirements. During the application period, the Scientific Research Office invited experts from SUES and other universities to assess letters of application one by one, thus they effectively improved quality of application and laid a solid quality foundation for prize winning.
The two prizes gained by two professor teams reflect the scientific research strengths and level of the related disciplines and research teams, and fully demonstrated the scientific and technological innovation ability of our university to contribute to construction of Shanghai Global Scientific Innovation Center and G60 Shanghai Songjiang Scientific Innovation corridor; the prizes would also further stimulate numerous teachers to continuously improve their scientific research level, comprehensively promote scientific and technological achievements innovation and transformation of technological achievements, and make greater contributions to construction of a modern engineering university with applied characteristics.
