SUES Conducts Inspection of Instruction for New Semester

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of instruction in the new semester, and effectively improve teaching quality, on the morning of February 26th, SUES carried out an inspection of the teaching work for the spring semester of 2023-2024 academic year. The teaching inspection was conducted at both the university and school levels, covering all undergraduate and graduate classroom teaching status.



Li Jiang, Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee, Yu Tao, SUES President, Wang Yansong and Xia Chunming, SUES Vice Presidents, formed the on-site inspection team for Songjiang Campus, and Zhu Xiaoqing, SUES Vice President, led the on-site inspection team for Hongkou Campus to inspect the teaching and learning status.


This teaching inspection mainly focuses on teachers' attendance, students' attendance, teaching environment, multimedia equipment operation and other aspects. During this semester, a total of 3,151 undergraduate courses and 684 graduate courses are offered. On the first day of the semester, a total of 636 courses for both undergraduate and graduate students were delivered.



From the university and school level teaching inspections, it is evident that teachers attach great importance to teaching, arriving at their posts early and preparing adequately; students attendance is high, listening to the class attentively; all teachers and students are full of spirit, creating an active classroom atmosphere. The teaching facilities are clean and well-maintained, with good sanitation. All aspects of teaching work are stable and orderly, with an overall excellent teaching and learning environment, the arrangement of teaching facilities is appropriate, ensuring adequate teaching support. SUES maintains a well-organized teaching order overall. This semester, SUES will focus on strengthening the digital capabilities of teaching staff based on reviewers’ opinions from evaluations, and SUES will continue to improve the effectiveness of education and teaching.
