SUES Students Win the National Grand Prize in the 19th "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge

On August 15, the national finals of the 19th Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge concluded at Taiyuan University of Technology. This year's competition attracted participation from 968 universities across the country, with 10,737 teams consisting of over 36,000 teachers and students taking part. Six teams from SUES advanced to the national finals. After five intense days of competition, they ultimately secured one national grand prize, two first prizes, and two second prizes, setting a new record for the best performance in the history of this competition for SUES.

 


The BUG Dispersal Team from the Engineering Training Center won the national grand prize (first place) in the undergraduate category for the Industrial Embedded System Development competition, and was awarded the Siemens Cup trophy and scholarship. The team Is Black Tea Okay? from School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering won a national first prize in the undergraduate category for the Discrete Industry Automation (Logical Algorithm) competition. The Light Machine Gun Commando from School of Higher Vocational Education won a national first prize in the vocational category for the Discrete Industry Automation (Engineering Practice) competition. The Benben Team from School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering won a national second prize in the undergraduate category for the Lean Manufacturing and Collaborative Robotics competition. The Hard Craftsman Team from the Engineering Training Center won a national second prize in the undergraduate category for the Industrial Hardware R&D competition.

 


The CIMC Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge is a national Class A event under the strategic cooperation framework between Ministry of Education and Siemens. Since the launch of this year's competition, under the organization and coordination of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, and with the organization and active participation of departments such as School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and the Engineering Training Center, the competing teams overcame difficulties, braved the heat, and continuously explored and worked hard in their respective competition categories, laying a solid foundation for SUES’ breakthrough performance in this year's competition.
