On September 23, the 25th China International Industry Fair (CIIF), themed “New Industrialization & Smart Manufacturing Resilience” opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). SUES exhibited 18 technological innovations at the HEI Exhibition Zone, spanning frontier areas such as biomedicine, digital intelligence, green technology, new energy and new materials, etc. The display underscored SUES’ robust research capacity and substantial achievements in scientific innovation.
Teacher Gao Shuang conducted a roadshow for the project “Development and Industrialization of a High-Precision Integrated Additive–Subtractive Laser Manufacturing System”. The system efficiently integrates laser additive and subtractive technologies to enable precise machining of complex components, providing strong technical support for high-end equipment manufacturing. Many investors at the fair expressed keen interest in potential collaboration.
Teacher Pei Liujun was interviewed by Shanghai Education Television (CETV) in a live broadcast, where he presented two key innovations. One is “Green & Low-Carbon Processing Technology for Bio-Based Fibers”, which applies environmental-friendly principles and optimized processing techniques to advance sustainable development in the textile industry. The other, “Fluorine-Free Waterproof Spray,” delivers reliable waterproof performance without relying on fluorinated compounds, meeting market demand for greener waterproof products.
In intelligent manufacturing, Teacher Fan Diqing unveiled the innovative “Heavy-Duty Intelligent Multi-Legged Walking Platform for Complex Power-System Operations.” Featuring a multi-legged locomotion design, the platform adapts to the constrained and irregular spaces typical of power-system environments, facilitating inspection and maintenance tasks. Teacher Wu Minghui introduced the “High-Pressure Water-Driven Impact Milling Crushing Device for Underground Pipeline Cleaning.” This device utilizes high-pressure water to rapidly break and clear underground pipelines, overcoming the inefficiency and difficulty of traditional cleaning methods.
In the future, SUES will continue to advance its “3-Wings” model, building stronger interdisciplinary platforms that unite engineering, management and design. By fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and integrating industry with education, SUES aims to empower industrial development through impactful innovation.
