

From October 31 to November 3, the 19th Challenge Cup of National College Students’ Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition, sponsored by China Mobile, was held at Nanjing University. The event was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, the All-China Students' Federation, and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. This year's competition attracted over 400,000 entries from more than 3 million participants from over 2,700 colleges and universities nationwide. A total of 640 projects advanced to the final round of the competition, where SUES students won a second prize and three third prizes.
SUES places great importance on the Challenge Cup competition. On November 3, Vice President Xu Yang visited the finals venue in person to extend his regards to the participating faculty and students. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the project teams and their advisors for their dedicated efforts, encouraging the students to “embody the spirit and responsibility of SUESers with youthful vigor.”

In the next phase, SUES will leverage the Challenge Cup competition as a driving force, focusing on its “3-wings” talent development strategy to vigorously advance “Cool Play Innovation”. This initiative will continue to provide a platform for young innovators and entrepreneurs from Shanghai University of Engineering Science.
