On March 12, Clémenceau François DEROCK, President of Ecole Intuit.Lab Design et Communication Visuelle, France, paid a visit to SUES. Wang Qin, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Zhou Xiaozhou, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Gao Zhu, Dean of School of Art and Design, Xu Jianghua, Vice Dean of School of Art and Design, and relevant staff received the guests.
Wang Qin expressed her warm welcome to Clémenceau and his delegation. She introduced the history, academic characteristics and international exchanges of SUES, and emphasized that SUES regards international development as one of the three major strategies, and hoped that the two sides would carry out pragmatic and long-term cooperation, and create more opportunities for teachers and students of the two universities with international education and exchanges.
Gao Zhu introduced in detail the history and development of School of Art and Design, its specialties, teaching and research as well as the integration of industry and education. Gao showed that School of Art and Design features a combination of arts and crafts, and elaborated on the academic strengths and teaching achievements of the School in the field of art and design.
Clémenceau expressed his sincere gratitude for the hospitality of SUES and his confidence in the future cooperation in talent cultivation in the field of art. He emphasized the consensus and vision of the two universities in the field of art and design, and looked forward to deepening the cooperation in the future and jointly promoting the academic exchanges and development of the two sides.
In addition, Clémenceau gave a vivid lecture to the students of School of Art and Design, and made a detailed introduction of various student exchange programs in Paris. At the lecture, the students asked questions with great passion, and showed enormous interest and enthusiasm in overseas exchange programs.
This visit has deepened the understanding between SUES and Ecole Intuit.Lab Design et Communication Visuelle, and has laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two institutes in the field of art.
