Edinburgh Napier University’s Director of Student Recruitment and International Affairs Visited SUES

On March 19th, Stuart Easter, Director of Student Recruitment and International Affairs at Edinburgh Napier University(ENU) in the UK, led a delegation to visit SUES. They were warmly received by Wang Qin, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Deputy Director Zhou Xiaozhou, Associate Dean Gao Yongbin of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Professor Cao Ruping of School of Art and Design, along with other relevant personnel.

 

Wang Qin extended a warm welcome to Director Stuart Easter and his delegation, expressing appreciation for the achievements in educational cooperation and exchange made by both institutions in recent years. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the cooperation between SUES and ENU, highlighted by significant successes in student exchanges, faculty visits, and collaborative research. Looking ahead, there is a mutual interest in expanding cooperation to further contribute to the development of Sino-British educational collaboration. 

 


Stuart Easter expressed gratitude for SUES thoughtful arrangements and acknowledged the inspiring progress in educational exchange over the past decade. ENU is dedicated to fostering friendly cooperative ties with leading global institutions and anticipates another decade of partnership, deepening exchange, and cooperation across broader domains.

 

The meeting saw both sides delve into discussions on dual-degree programs in electrical and electronic engineering, joint Ph.D. supervision in art and design, faculty exchange, and collaborative research, reaching a consensus on intensifying cooperation to promote educational exchange and collaboration.

 

Furthermore, Carina Liao, Director of the China Center at ENU, conducted an engaging study abroad seminar for SUES students. Through her vivid presentation, she outlined the multiple benefits and opportunities of studying at Edinburgh Napier University, broadening the international perspective and developmental horizons for the students.

 

The discussions not only fortified the academic exchange and cooperation bridge between the two universities but also offered SUES students more diverse and enriching opportunities for international learning and exchange.
