From March 29 to 31, 2024, the 23rd National University Robot Contest RoboMaster 2024 Robot Masters University League (Shanghai Station) was held at the gymnasium of Shanghai University of Engineering Science (Songjiang Campus). The RoboMaster 2024 Robot Masters University League (Shanghai Station) was again organized by School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, attracting outstanding student representatives from 35 universities across the country, such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University, Southeast University, etc.
RoboMaster Robot Masters University League, fully integrates many robot-related technical disciplines such as machine vision, embedded system design, mechanical control, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and innovatively presents the robot competition in a fierce and tough competitive style and a shocking audio-visual impact, making the robot confrontation more intense and exciting, and easier to approach the vision of contemporary young people, attracting more attention and participation of science and technology enthusiasts and society.
Team Muyuan (Wood Kite) from SUES also participated in this competition. Through the RoboMaster University League, the team has accumulated technical experience, laying a foundation for regional and national competitions, and innovatively developed many scientific research projects.
On the afternoon of March 31, at the grand closing ceremony and award ceremony, Vice President Xia Chunming granted the awards to the winning teams. Team Jiaolong from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Team Alliance from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Team Born of Fire of Jincheng College from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics won the champion, runner-up and third prize of the infantry competition respectively; Team Jiaolong from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Team Born of Fire of Jincheng College from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Team SuperPower from Tongji University won the champion, runner-up and third prize of the 3V3 competition respectively.
After the competition, the Young Engineers Conference was held at the Academic Lecture Hall of the Modern Transportation Building of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. As an important part of RoboMaster, the Young Engineers Conference aims to provide a professional communication platform for these talented engineers, and stimulate their innovative spirit and teamwork ability.
It is reported that RoboMaster University Series, as one of the events under the National University Robot Contest, has been designed to create a robot competition and academic exchange platform for global science and technology enthusiasts. Every year, teams from more than 400 institutions of higher learning around the world participate in the competition, and around 50,000 young engineers have been trained in total. It also carries out various talent training, laboratory co-construction and other industry-university-research cooperation projects with hundreds of universities.
