President of Moscow Polytechnic University, Russia, visited SUES

On May 21st, a delegation led by Miklushevskii Vladimir, President of Moscow Polytechnic University (MPU), Russia, visited SUES. President Yu Tao and Vice President Xia Chunming warmly received the distinguished guests at conference room 204 of the Administration Building. Heads of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and College of International Education attended the meeting.



President Yu extended a warm welcome to President Miklushevskii Vladimir and his delegation, providing a brief overview of SUES’ departmental structure, faculty and student population, academic specialties, and efforts in internationalization. President Yu emphasized SUES’ commitment to cooperation with Russian universities, aiming to facilitate the sharing of high-quality educational resources through mutual cooperation. Currently, SUES is in the process of applying for doctoral programs in fields such as mechanical engineering. With strong teaching and research capabilities in areas like mechanical engineering and electronic electrical engineering, SUES shares significant similarities with MPU in academic structure and research directions. It is hoped that this visit will further pragmatic cooperation between SUES and MPU.



President Miklushevskii Vladimir expressed gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of SUES’ academic and research standards as well as its achievements in internationalization. He gave a comprehensive introduction on MPU, covering its history, vision, academic programs, teaching methodologies, prominent disciplines, industry-university cooperation, and internationalization efforts. President Miklushevskii Vladimir acknowledged the common ground between the two universities in engineering education and research innovation, highlighting extensive cooperation potential in fields such as mechanical engineering and vehicle engineering. He expressed the desire to initiate cooperation in student and faculty exchanges and joint research projects at the earliest opportunity.


During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding specific areas and projects for future cooperation. It was unanimously agreed that cooperation in education could be deepened through joint student training programs, reciprocal exchanges of faculty and students, recruitment of long-term foreign instructors, and international research partnerships.



President Miklushevskii Vladimir and his delegation visited relevant laboratories of School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and School of Flying, gaining detailed insights into SUES’ latest achievements in teaching and research.


This visit strengthened the friendly relationship between SUES and MPU, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in education and research between the two universities.
