From October 16 to 17, the 2020 Shanghai Textile and Fashion creative and innovation Graduate Academic Forum and the 14th International Textile and Fashion Innovation Forum jointly organized by Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Shanghai Textile Engineering Society, Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Sino British intelligent sportswear joint laboratory was held both online and offline at Hangfei building lecture hall of Songjiang Campus of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Xie Decheng, general manager of Shanghai Textile Research Institute Co., Ltd., Wang Xiaofeng, executive vice president of Central Research Institute of Oriental International Group, Wang Aibing, vice president of Central Research Institute of Oriental International Group, Li Yong, deputy general manager of Shanghai Textile Research Institute Co., Ltd., Zhang Deliang, deputy general manager of Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute Co., Ltd., He Yeli, editor in chief of Printing and Dyeing Magazine, Zhang Yanhui, editor in chief of Shanghai Textile Technology magazine, as well as relevant functional departments such as the postgraduate department of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, School of Textile and Fashion, and college heads attended the forum.
The forum invited Professor Sun Gang of University of California Davis, Professor Fu Guangwei, executive vice president of China Textile Engineering Society, Zhang Yugao, executive director of Hong Kong Yida group and China Textile Engineering Society, Professor Andrew Shaw, John Moore University, Liverpool, UK, Professor Jian Zhiwei of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Liu Fu of Ningbo Institute of materials technology and engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Xin Binjie of Shanghai University of Engineering Science carried out special reports and discussions, and launched sub forums and other academic exchange activities.
Since June 2020, the forum has received 108 academic papers from nearly 30 universities in China, including Donghua University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
This forum is based on the theme of Low-carbon, Fashion, Innovation and Technology. It aims to build a collaborative innovation system centre on fashion and creativity and based on the integration of fashion and technology, creative design and business integration. It will take the characteristics of international, academic, technological and advanced to demonstrate the latest achievements in textile and fashion scientific research, while adopting low-carbon and environment-friendly idea, to promote the innovation and development of textile and fashion discipline.
