On August 22, the 19th National University Students Intelligent Car Race finals came to an end in Harbin. The competition was held in 9 venues across the country, and 486 teams from 236 colleges were selected to participate in the national finals from 615 colleges, 2,945 teams and nearly 10,000 students. Falcon Team 1 directed by teachers Zhao Chunfeng and He Zhitmin of Engineering Training Center of SUES won the national first prize in Model Group. Training Vision Team 1 directed by Zhang Yalong and Leng Xinghuan of Engineering Training Center won the national first prize in Intelligent Vision Group.
The National University Students Intelligent Car Race, providing a platform of competition for the production of model cars capable of recognizing roads independently as an exploratory engineering practice for college students nationwide, has become a large-scale event with orientation, demonstration and extensive participation.
The Engineering Training Center of SUES attached great importance to the publicity, organization and training of the national event. After sufficient preparation for the competition, each team flexibly responded to unexpected situations in the fierce competition, timely adjusted the hardware failures of the intelligent car models and the software programs, and performed at their best.
