Our students won the silver prize in the 6th China International "Internet+" University Student Innovation and Business Competition

On November 20th, the 6th China International Internet+ University Student Innovation and Business Final Competition successfully concluded at South China University of Technology. Sun Chunlan, Vice Premier of the State Council, came to the spot to give guidance. Zhong Denghua, Vice Minister of Education, Lin Huiqing, former Vice Minister, Wu Yan, Director of the Department of Higher Education, and others attended the award ceremony. The project team of Snipple Medical Treatment—the first Metabolizable Oncology Treatment from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of SUES won the silver medal in the national finals after a fierce competition with other outstanding projects in China. This is the first time SUES has won the silver medal in this competition's national finals and achieved a historic breakthrough.

The China International Internet+ University Student Innovation and Business Competition was first held in 2015, initiated by Premier Li Keqiang and co-sponsored by 13 ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Education and the National Development and Reform Commission. It has become the most influential event, covering all colleges and universities nationwide, and is open to all college students. The competition aims to deepen the comprehensive reform of higher education, spark college students' creativity, and cultivate a new force for mass entrepreneurship and innovation. With the theme of I Dare to Venture, I Will Create, this year's competition has attracted 1,473,000 projects and 6.31 million students from 117 countries and regions and 4,186 institutions home and abroad to participate in the competition. Sun Chunlan, Vice Premier of the State Council, watched the championship and visited the competition achievement exhibition, fully affirming the positive contribution of young students' innovation and business to help in Poverty Alleviation, promote innovation and development, and serve epidemic prevention and control.
