Recently, the Material and Component Reliability Testing and Analysis Laboratory of Shanghai University of Engineering Science passed the on-site evaluation of CMA (China Metrology Accreditation), which was previously accredited by CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment), making it the only double-accredited laboratory in SUES.
Established in 2013, the Material and Component Reliability Testing and Analysis Laboratory brings together advanced equipment for material testing, professional testing personnel and leading management mode, providing testing services and talent training for teaching and research, while also plays an important role in promoting scientific research integrity, improving professional testing level and ensuring efficient and high-quality services, which has gradually become a high-quality brand of SUES's external technical services.At present, the laboratory has 12 staff members, 3 with senior titles (25%) and 8 with doctoral degrees (67%); it has 5 sets of imported instruments and equipment, involving fatigue, tensile (room temperature/high temperature) and hardness (Blowell) testing, and its testing accuracy and testing range are of international leading level.
The laboratory gives full play to the crossover advantages of materials science and processing manufacturing, focusing on the integration of industry, academia and research, and collaborative innovation with industry and enterprises. It takes the new material-based high technology as the main service object, analyzes and researches the safety of materials and structures under different processing and service conditions to ensure their service reliability. At the same time, the laboratory is closely integrated with teaching and scientific research, adding to the development of the university's discipline construction and the improvement of scientific research level.
