Recently, Zhou Bin, a doctoral supervisor of USC-SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and distinguished Chair Professor of SUES, held a calligraphy demonstration on the theme of China Dream in the lobby of the first floor of the Administration Building of SUES. Party Secretary Li Jiang attended the event, and Party Secretary Yuan Rong of the School of Art and Design, Dean Wu Yasheng of Sino-Korean School of Multimedia Design, Dean Gao Zhu of the School of Art and Design, and representatives of teachers and students of the Sino-Korean School of Multimedia Design and School of Art and Design took part in this activity, which was hosted by Fan Rong, Deputy Director of the President's Office.
Secretary Li Jiang welcomed Prof. Zhou Bin to carry out this calligraphy demo in SUES. He praised and thanked Prof. Zhou Bin for using calligraphy to eulogize the great China Dream, promote the main theme of the times, inherit and promote Chinese traditional culture, and give a wonderful aesthetic lesson to the students.
Professor Zhou was the calligraphy tutor of former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, and is a long-time educator dedicated to spreading calligraphy culture internationally and domestically. During the event, Prof. Zhou Bin showed a large number of outstanding art works such as calligraphy, photography and Chinese painting, led the students and teachers to appreciate the beauty of art together, and wrote Chinese Dream with his brush on the spot.
It is reported that the magazine Chinese Cultural Figures pays attention to Chinese cultural figures, promotes Chinese traditional culture and world cultural exchange, and will make detailed reports on the event later.
