On the afternoon of January 12, the leaders between SUES and Dongseo University, South Korea held a video conference of the Sino-Korean Joint Management Committee for Cooperative Education in Conference Room 204 in the Executive Building. Dr. Li Jiang, and Dr. Xia Chunming, who are the leaders of SUES, and Dr. Jekuk Chang, Choi Won-I, the leaders of Dongseo University, attended the meeting. In addition, the members of the management committees of the two universities also attended the meeting. The meeting was presided by Dr. Xia Chunming, the vice president of SUES.
Dr. Li Jiang expressed his cordial greetings to President Jekuk Chang and his colleagues from Dongseo University. He said that with the joint efforts of the two universities, the two sides' cooperative programs in the previous pandemic period ran smoothly and orderly. The student employment rate in the Sino-Korean cooperative programs ranked first in the whole university, and this exciting result was closely related to the cooperation of the projects and the two sides’ great attention and efforts. Dr. Li Jiang, the leader of SUES, pointed out that the most important work of the two universities was to apply for the construction of the International Creative Design Institute, which is of great significance for the two universities. He emphasized that this program would play an important role in training high-quality artistic talents and achieving a high level of running university. In addition, he hoped that the two universities would work closely together to continue to do a good job in the follow-up application. Finally, he said he would like to invite President Jekuk Chang to visit SUES when the pandemic was over so that the old and new friends would come together and talk about the future cooperation.
President Jekuk Chang said he was very pleased to meet with Dr. Li Jiang online. Chang said that although the pandemic had caused difficulties for the cooperation project between the two universities, the two universities had been able to cooperate in running the project with fruitful results. In addition, he said that the application work of the International Institute of Creative Design has been carried out smoothly and that the Dongseo University would put more efforts on the follow work for the construction of the International Institute of Creative Design Institute. He also said that Dongseo University would put the highest quality teachers into the running of the International Institute of Creative Design Institute in order to promote the cooperation between the two universities enhancing the level of cooperation. President Jekuk Chang also thanked Dr. Li Jiang for his warm invitation and hoped to visit SUES as soon as possible after the pandemic.
At the meeting, Professor Wu Yasheng, Chinese Dean of the China-ROK Multimedia Design Institute, and Professor Kim Yong-ki, President of the Korean Side, reported on the running of the China-ROK Cooperative School Project in 2020. Miss Wang Qin, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Branch, reported on the progress of the Declaration of the International Creative Design Institute. The management committee also passed the adjustment of the members of SUES management committee. Finally, the representatives of the two universities also discussed the development of cooperative projects, the application of the International Creative Design Institute and other relevant work.
