Recently, good news has been sent from Shanghai Municipal Administration of Greening and City Appearance Administrative Bureau. Through preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation and on-site evaluation, Songjiang Campus of SUES has been awarded the honorary title of Shanghai Garden Unit in 2018-2020.
SUES attaches great importance to the construction of ecological civilization on campus, and adheres to the road of ecological priority and green development. Especially since the application for the establishment of Shanghai Garden Unit, the Party committee of SUES has set up a leading group of garden unit working under the leadership of vice president in charge, with professional guidance and guidance, accelerating the improvement of campus green environment, increasing publicity of green and ecological culture, improving the awareness of environmental protection of teachers and students, and calling on faculty and students to actively devote to beautiful campus construction and maintenance.
In the process of creating Shanghai Garden Unit, SUES also relied on the campus environment construction to guide students to deeply understand the historical changes of campus greening and public facilities, and invited student representatives to participate in campus lawn maintenance and green pruning, which effectively improved the effectiveness of environmental education.
In order to make the campus more attractive, SUES has added landscape projects such as Guiyuan garden, pavilion garden, art building greening courtyard, greening fitness trail, etc.; it has added 8 kinds of flower border and flower bed sketches, added more than 600 square meters of flower border area, and introduced and planted more than 45000 kinds of flowers. The campus is rich in plant species, including deciduous trees, evergreen trees, evergreen shrubs, ground cover plants, lawns and ornamental grasses. Songjiang campus of SUES is green and beautiful.
The front-line staff of logistics industry development center beautified the layout of all kinds of plants and flowers on campus, and carried out greening transformation in combination with this year's greening work plan, which made the Chengyuan full of vitality.
SUES will take this opportunity, based on the reality of the University, make persistent efforts, adhere to the concept of green development, consolidate the achievements of greening, improve the level of greening maintenance and management, and create a good campus environment for the university to build a domestic first-class high-level modern engineering application-oriented university.
