On the afternoon of February 24, Pharmaceutical Frontier Technology Research Institute held 2021 seminar in Room 208 of the Administration Building. Participants at the seminar included head of the team, Hou Huimin, also academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Professor Zhang Weidong of Naval Military Medical University; Professor Lu Weiyue of Fudan University; Director Wang Jian of the National Engineering Research Center for Pharmaceutical Preparations; Liu Fuyao, Director of the Personnel Department of SUES; Rao Pinhua, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; Chen Sihao, Vice Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; and all members of the team. The meeting was presided over by Rao Pinhua, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Before the seminar started, Vice President Wang Yansong had a friendly meeting with Professor Lu Weiyue of Fudan University in Room 308 of the Administration Building. Wang thanked Professor Lu for his support to the construction of the pharmacy discipline, and looked forward to closer cooperation to build a medical frontier technology institute with distinctive characteristics.
At the seminar, Academician Hou Huimin made specific arrangements for the work in 2021, including the composition of the research groups, work exchange mechanisms, and research and development directions. Academician Hou pointed out that the newly established institute should start relevant research and development work as soon as possible, and form characteristics in the fields of pharmaceutical intelligent equipment, intelligent pharmaceutical excipients, and artificial organization 3D printing to enhancing the independent innovation capability of Chinese pharmaceutical industry. Each research team reported on the 2021 work plan, and put forward some problems in terms of talents, venues, funding, etc. Liu Fuyao and Chen Sihao responded to the relevant problems.
The seminar laid a good foundation for the team to carry out relevant scientific research and technology development.
