On October 30, 2024, the China University Futsal League (Men’s Southern Division) concluded at Huzhou Sports Center. After eight days of intense competition, the SUES high-level men’s football team stood out among 25 participating teams and ultimately won the championship! Ding Shunjie was awarded “Best Coach”, while Peng Tianyu received the title of “Best Player”.
SUES and Hunan Normal University met again in the final. At the end of the first half, Hunan Normal University was ahead 1-0. As the second half of the final began, after a fierce competition and exciting confrontations, SUES equalized the score and earned a penalty for the decisive win. SUES ultimately triumphed with a score of 4-3, gaining the championship of the tournament.
This marks SUES’ first championship in the China University Futsal League (Men’s Southern Division) since 2018, when Ding Shunjie was the team captain. Now, as the head coach, Ding Shunjie has led a team of only ten players to victory six years later! This championship is the result of the hard work of the entire sports team and reflects SUES’ commitment to promoting athletic programs!
