From October 26th to 27th, the Frontier Issues in Social Security International Summit Forum and the 15th Shanghai Graduate Academic Forum were successfully held at SUES, which guided by China Social Security Association and Tsinghua PBCSF Pension Finance Forum 50, and hosted by Shanghai Municipal Degree Committee, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). The event was co-organized by School of Management Studies at SUES, Shanghai Research Center for Social Security Issues, CEIBS Social Security and Pension Finance Research Institute, and Shanghai Municipal People's Government Decision-Making Consultation Base at SUES.

The theme of the forum was Comprehensive Deepening of Reform: High-Quality Development of China's Social Security System, aiming to deeply discuss the reform and innovation of China's social security system. Professor Yu Tao, President of SUES, delivered a welcome speech, and Professor Wang Yansong, Vice President of SUES, presided over the opening ceremony of the forum.

At the opening ceremony, President Yu Tao and Dean Wang Hong of CEIBS jointly unveiled the Silver Economy Research Center and awarded the first, second, and third prizes of the 15th Shanghai Graduate Academic Forum.

On October 26th, SUES leaders, Professor Shi Jianyong, Executive Deputy Director of the Shanghai Social Security Issues Research Center, and Professor Zhang Jianming, chaired the keynote reports in the morning and afternoon sessions, respectively. Experts and scholars provided new ideas and methods in the field of social security through keynote reports, promoting the high-quality development of China's social security system.

The forum featured several thematic sub-forums, focusing on four major themes: pension security and pension finance, medical insurance and health management, elderly care services and long-term care insurance, and silver economy and digitalization.

The forum received nearly 200 academic papers from scholars at over 40 universities across the country, including Sun Yat-sen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Southeast University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Jinan University, Nanjing Normal University, and SUES. After review by the forum's academic committee, 3 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 37 excellence awards were granted.

On October 27th, the forum held four graduate forums on pension insurance, elderly care services, medical insurance and health management, and social welfare and social assistance. Graduate students from various universities across the country shared the latest research results and deeply discussed thoughts on the high-quality development of the social security system, sparking intellectual collisions. This played an active role in expanding the influence of the social security discipline, strengthening academic exchanges, and improving the level of the discipline.

Relying on the advantages of the municipal key discipline Social Security at SUES, this event achieved good results, providing a high-standard, in-depth, multidisciplinary, and cutting-edge academic exchange platform for young scholars and graduate students in the field of social security at home and abroad. It played an active role in building consensus, aggregating resources, theoretical innovation, and expanding publicity within the social security academia.
