At noon on April 7, 2021, the Lunch Talk with President activity was held at the Teacher-Student Activity Center. The president of SUES, Yu Tao, and the vice president, Zhu Xiaoqing, had lunch with 13 student representatives from different schools of SUES to talk about college students’ growth and the development of SUES in the convenient atmosphere. The staff in the principal's office, the student affairs office, and the Communist Youth League also attended the Lunch Talk activity.
At the meeting, President Yu listened to the students attentively, took notes, and provided feasible suggestions in response to students’ concerns about their life and learning. In addition, Dr. Yu talked directly with each of the students and provided answers to students’ questions patiently with details.
Student representatives put forward their suggestions on the following topics such as course learning, student cultivation, major development, innovation and entrepreneurship, campus activities, public services, etc. Furthermore, both the presidents and the students discussed on the following four topics deeply such as the cooperation between industry and learning in the normal epidemic environment, the optimization of the curriculum arrangement for senior students, the increase of the space for students’ innovation and entrepreneurship, and the collaboration between student organizations and our university’s cooperative enterprises, etc.
