From October 31st to November 3rd, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), in collaboration with the Secretariat of Innovation Consortium of Sino-German Industry-Education-Research-Application, hosted the ASIIN International Certification Expert Seminar and the inaugural certification ceremony for Chinese review experts on Changning campus. The event was co-organized by the ASIIN Certification Association and Munich University of Applied Sciences. President Yu Tao, along with Prof.Dr.Klaus Kreulich, Chairman of the German ASIIN Certification Association, Prof.Dr.-Ing.habil. Christian Schumann, Vice Chairman, and Prof.Dr.Iring Wasser, Secretary General, was in attendance. The seminar was also attended by presidents, vice presidents, and department heads from over 40 universities, including Anhui University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences, and Jiangsu Ocean University, as well as relevant department heads and college leaders from SUES.
President Yu Tao expressed his gratitude to the German ASIIN Certification Association for their substantial support of the seminar. He highlighted that through ASIIN certification, universities with unique local characteristics across the nation will adopt international standards, processes, methods, and objectives to continuously refine their talent cultivation models and approaches, thereby enhancing the level of development for academic programs and ultimately nurturing high-quality, internationally-minded talents. President Yu Tao proposed the establishment of a club for universities to invite Chinese experts with certification experience and colleagues from universities about to undergo certification, to join forces with the ASIIN certification organization in building a database of Chinese certification experts.
During the conference, ASIIN presented certificates to nearly 70 certification experts from 15 pioneering universities. The four-day event covered themes such as ASIIN certification procedures, self-assessment reports, review principles, and international quality assurance standards, with a mix of keynote speeches, practical teaching sessions, and on-site research studies.
