Bangkok Thonburi University Delegation Visits SUES

On January 3rd, a delegation led by President Bangorn Benjathikul of Bangkok Thonburi University in Thailand paid a visit to SUES. Vice President Xia Chunming, Wang Qin, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Zhou Xiaozhou, Deputy Director of the 

same Office , Li Yuewen, Deputy Dean of the College of International Education, Gao Yongbin, Deputy Dean of School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and Jia Cili, Deputy Dean of School of Air TransportationSchool of Flyingreceived the visiting guests.

 


Vice President Xia Chunming extended a warm welcome to President Bangorn Benjathikul and her delegation and provided an overview of SUES. He highlighted that the University, with its focus on engineering and technology while promoting harmonious development of various disciplines, has successfully established a comprehensive education system that encompasses undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. The University has made significant strides in research innovation, international collaboration, and talent development. SUES places a strong emphasis on partnering with institutions in countries along the Belt and Road initiative. Vice President Xia expressed his hope that this visit would serve as a catalyst for in-depth cooperation between SUES and Bangkok Thonburi University, particularly in the areas of student exchanges, faculty visits, and academic partnerships.



President Bangorn Benjathikul expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception. She indicated that the two universities share many similarities in educational concepts and academic development and are committed to providing students with diverse academic opportunities and a global perspective, which has laid a solid foundation for international cooperation between the two universities. She firmly believed that the two universities would achieve fruitful results in student exchange, teacher visits, and research cooperation in the future.


During the meeting, the two sides had in - depth discussions on international education exchanges, teacher development, and teaching quality assurance. Both sides expressed their eagerness to promote the internationalization of higher education through more cooperation and exchanges.

 

After the meeting, President Bangorn Benjathikul and her delegation visited the laboratories of School of Air Transportation. They commended the investment in the construction of scientific research platforms and practical teaching. Both sides were highly confident about future cooperation in related fields.

 

This visit enhanced the mutual understanding between the two universities and laid a favorable foundation for future cooperation. The two sides agreed that by expanding cooperation areas and innovating cooperation models, they could further boost common development of the two universities in the field of higher education and contribute positively to the cultural exchanges and friendly relations between China and Thailand.
