SUES Teaching Inspection Conducted for the New Semester

On the morning of February 17th, a teaching and learning inspection was conducted by SUES leadership to assess the overall academic environment of the spring semester, 2024-2025 academic year. Li Jiang, Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee, and Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee, along with Vice Presidents Xu Yang, Wang Yansong, Xia Chunming, and Xu Kaiyu led teams to inspect the teaching and learning status on Songjiang, Changning, and Hongkou campuses.

The leadership also reviewed measures for rectification and reform on the problems identified in last semester’s inspection. SUES offers 3,306 undergraduate courses and 385 graduate courses this semester, with 2,352 courses commencing in the first week.




The University and faculty-level teaching inspection was concluded successfully, as the teachers and students were fully prepared for the new semester. Teachers arrived in class on time and were well-prepared for their new courses; students were readily engaged. The overall academic environment was satisfying: teaching facilities were in good condition and support services were in place. This semester, SUES will focus on promoting digital skills and classroom reforms, and further improving talent development programs.
