2025 Shanghai Graduates Career Fair Successfully Held at SUES

On March 28, the 2025 Shanghai University Graduates Career and Internship Fair, along with its opening ceremony, was successfully hosted at SUES. The event continued the successful Career Guidance + Job Recruitment + Internship Opportunities model, specifically designed to meet the talent needs of Shanghai's Three Leading Industries and Six Key Sectors. Serving as a bridge between academia and industry, the fair provided comprehensive services including job matching, career counseling, and employment guidance for graduates. The career fair attracted participation from over 1,100 employers offering more than 3,500 positions with total hiring needs exceeding 22,000 vacancies.



Distinguished attendees included: Shen Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Education and Health Work Committee; Li Jiang, Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee; Wang Hao, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission; Ding Zhenwen, Deputy Director of Shanghai Veterans Affairs Bureau; Liu Fusheng, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Songjiang District Committee and Deputy District Governor; Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee



The event was co-organized by the CPC Shanghai Education and Health Work Committee, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Songjiang District People's Government, and relevant municipal government departments. Executive organizers included: Shanghai Student Services Center, Songjiang District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Shanghai Public Human Resources Service Center, Shanghai Veterans Service Center, and Shanghai University of Engineering Science. The fair received strong support from universities across Shanghai.



During the opening ceremony, Secretary Shen Wei expressed high expectations for graduating students and officially launched the 2025 graduate employment initiative. This marks the beginning of the crucial job-seeking period for new graduates.



Li Jiang delivered a welcome address, introducing SUES' three core strategies - Strengthening University through Talent Development, Specialized Growth, and Internationalization. He shared the innovative measures taken by SUES to continuously empower talent cultivation, constantly smooth the connection between supply and demand, and further expand the paths of integration between industry and education. Additionally, he shared the University's experience and practices in promoting the employment of graduates.



Ding Zhenwen announced a special employment support program for veteran students, featuring personalized career services to assist their transition to civilian professions.



Liu Fusheng highlighted Songjiang's regional advantages and extended a warm invitation to young talents, encouraging graduates to actively participate in the District's innovation-driven development.



The career fair was bustling with people, and the enthusiasm for job hunting was extremely high. According to statistics, more than 21,000 students from universities across Shanghai attended the event with their resumes in hand. In total, over 90,000 resumes were submitted, and preliminary employment intentions were reached by more than 4,000 person-times. The employment for the 2025 university graduates has entered a crucial sprint stage. The University will maintain firm confidence, adopt targeted measures, extensively mobilize the collaborative participation of all sectors of society, and take solid steps to promote stable, high-quality, and full employment for graduates. It will safeguard the employment of the 2025 university graduates and help the prospective 2026 graduates kick off a new journey in the workplace.
