On the morning of May 8th, the 2025 Graduation Design Exhibition of School of Art and Design opened at the Industry-Education Integration Building on Changning Campus. Themed New-quality Design for Social Innovation: Contemporary Design Education Practices under Bauhaus Spirit, the exhibition showcases the creative and socially engaged spirit of emerging designers.

The opening ceremony was attended by SUES President Lou Yongqi, Vice President Xia Chunming, representatives from industry associations, collaborative education enterprises, and leaders of relevant departments and Schools. The event was hosted by Li Yunxian, Secretary of the CPC Committee of School of Art and Design.

Lou Yongqi officially declared the exhibition open and presented part-time postgraduate supervisor appointment letters to selected enterprise mentors.

Xia Chunmingawarded plaques to the representatives of the industry-education integration demonstration base for professional practice.

Gao Zhu, Dean of School of Art and Design encouraged the graduates to continue being romantic problem-solvers on the stage of life. Luo Jian, Design Director of SAIC Maxus Automotive Co., Ltd., speaking on behalf of the university-enterprise collaborative education partners, praised the School’s talent cultivation model that aligns closely with industry needs. He expressed hopes for further and deeper cooperation in integrating education with industry practice.

The exhibition is being held across two campuses: the first and second floors of the Industry-Education Integration Building on Changning Campus, and the lobby of the Art Building on Songjiang Campus. Over 460 undergraduate and postgraduate students are participating in this showcase. The exhibited works not only represent the results of students' academic journey, but also serve as a vivid testament to the School’s educational philosophy of “integrating art with engineering and merging industry with education”. We believe these bold yet humanistic designs will spark imagination about “Traffic China” among wider audiences, while bearing witness to the luminous renaissance of Bauhaus spirit in China’s cultural landscape.
