On June 23, Mr. Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Azerbaijan Technical University, led a delegation to SUES to explore potential avenues for cooperation. The meeting, held at Room 714 of the Industry-Education Integration Building on Changning Campus, was attended by Wang Qin, Director of the International Office and Dean of College of International Education, Deputy Dean Li Yuewen, and other faculty members engaged in international collaboration.
Extending a warm welcome on behalf of SUES, Wang Qin provided an overview of the University’s development and its internationalization strategy. She highlighted SUES’ strong track record in integrating industry with education and underscored its vital role in supporting regional economic growth.
Fariz Mammadov expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception and praised SUES’ achievements and strengths. He introduced Azerbaijan Technical University as one of the country’s top engineering institutions, highlighting its academic and research strengths. Noting the shared vision between the two universities in education and research, he expressed interest in establishing a solid, mutually beneficial partnership through faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and resource sharing to enhance both institutions’ academic influence and international reputation.
The meeting laid a solid foundation for deeper collaboration between SUES and Azerbaijan Technical University, and marked a new step in SUES’ efforts to expand educational openness and support the Belt and Road Initiative through global engagement.
