On June 29th, the finals of the Shanghai Division of the 27th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition and the 5th Shanghai Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition were held on Songjiang Campus of SUES. The competition drew over 600 teams from nearly 30 universities, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, East China University of Science and Technology, Dong Hua University, and Shanghai University, which participated in both the campus selection and provincial finals.
The competition kicked off at the gymnasium. This offline event featured nine competition categories, including the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition, Robot Innovation Competition, Intelligent Cultural and Creative Innovation Competition, Robot Task Challenge (Drone Air-Ground Collaboration), Robot Task Challenge (Medium-sized Quadruped Bionic Robot Group), Robot Task Challenge (Composite Robot Lunar Exploration), Robot Application Competition (Intelligent Driving), Robot Task Challenge (Smart Pharmacy), and Robot Task Challenge (Aelos Robot Challenge). The panel of judges comprised experts from universities in Shanghai and innovative enterprises, providing authoritative and impartial professional support for the event.
The China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition is a long-established and widely influential national academic competition. It has so far cultivated a large number of interdisciplinary talents in China who are practical, innovative, and collaborative. The competition has been included in the National Discipline Competition Ranking List for Ordinary Higher Education Institutions and the Analysis Report on Competitions for College Students in National Ordinary Higher Education Institutions, both published by China Higher Education Society. The Shanghai Division of the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition is organized by its organizing committee and hosted by Shanghai University of Engineering Science, which has been awarded the National Outstanding Organization Award for four consecutive years.
