SUES's First Major Research (Training) Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China Approved

Recently, the Research on Chiral Transmission and its Regulation Mechanism of Drug Molecular Crystal Assembly chaired by Professor Lu Jie of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering was approved, which is the first time SUES has won a major research program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China as the leading institution.

The research team of drug crystals and functional materials led by Professor Lu Jie is engaged in research in the fields of drug crystals and crystallization technology, functional separation materials and separation technology, medical diagnosis and treatment materials, drug delivery and controlled release materials, etc. The team's scientific research and personnel training have been continuously improved and breakthroughs have been made one after another.

Under the leadership of Professor Lu Jie, the major of Chemical Engineering and Technology at SUES has passed the National Engineering Education Certification and has been approved as the first-class undergraduate construction major of Shanghai. In terms of personnel training, he worked side by side with team members, led students to win national competition awards many times, including the first prize of the 15th Challenge Cup National College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition and the national silver prize of the 6th China International Internet plus College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, which realized the breakthrough of SUES in this authoritative competition. He instructed undergraduates and postgraduates to publish more than 50 SCI papers, including 2 highly cited ESI papers, and more than 10 graduates are studying for doctoral degrees in Chinese Academy of Sciences and “Double-First Class” universities. In 2021, Professor Lu Jie's team was selected as the outstanding teaching team of national petroleum and chemical education.
