Through the vivid expression and powerful overall shape of the painting, it signifies the rich cultural heritage and spirit of the times of the majestic China: the rooster’s feathers incorporate the concept of film stock. The red petals at the top of the painting are inspired by the Xiamen city flower, the Bougainvillea spp, implies Xiamen, the host city of Golden Rooster Awards, is like a red sun. The work symbolizes prosperity and hope: the rooster crows in the morning while the red sun is rising in the east.
