SUES launched inspection on instruction in the new semester

In order to ensure the normal implementation of instruction in the new semester, strengthen the management of classroom instruction, maintain good teaching order, and effectively improve the quality of instruction, SUES conducted an instruction inspection in the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year on February 20.



The on-site inspection team was led by Li Jiang, Secretary of SUES Party Committee, Yu Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of SUES, and Xia Chunming, Vice President of SUES. The online inspection team was constituted by Men Yanping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of SUES, both of the teams inspected the instruction at Songjiang Campus.


The inspection focuses primarily on teacher and student attendance, classroom atmosphere, the operation of multimedia technology, and other factors. This semester, 3390 undergraduate courses and 309 postgraduate courses were offered across 17 departments (centers). SUES provided 736 courses on the first day of the semester. From the results of inspections at the university and school levels, we can conclude that teachers attach great importance to instruction, they arrive at work early, and adequately prepare for classes; students have a high attendance rate and pay close attention in class; all teachers and students are full of energy and the classroom atmosphere is lively; teaching places are clean and hygienic; the entire environment for teaching and learning is excellent, the classrooms and facilities are arranged properly, instruction is guaranteed, and overall instructional schedule of SUES is well-organized.
