On the afternoon of March 8, the 113th anniversary of March 8 International Working Women's Day and the opening ceremony of the Seagull Program Engineering Bay were held on the 19th floor of the Administrative Building. In total there were 200 people attending the event, including Men Yanping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of SUES, Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of SUES, and Director of the Women's Work Committee, Zhu Hongchun, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department of SUES, Zhang Fang, Deputy Director of the Women's Work Committee of Shanghai Municipal Education System, Cai Ting, Vice President of Shanghai Women Entrepreneurs Association, Ye Xiaoxian, Secretary General of Shanghai Women's Sociality Association and Vice President of the Association of female staff of SUES, and many other female representatives.
On behalf of the Party Committee of SUES, Men Yanping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of SUES, sent greetings and good wishes to all the leaders, guests and female staff attending the event, and affirmed the important role played by female staff in the enhancement of the core competitiveness and highlights of SUES.
Zhu Xiaoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of SUES, and Director of the Women's Work Committee, and Zhang Fang, Deputy Director of the Women's Work Committee of Shanghai Municipal Education System, jointly unveiled the plaque of Seagull Program at Engineering Bay .
Zhu Hongchun, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department of SUES, presented the certificates of “Engineering Bay Seagull Mentor” to the representatives of female entrepreneurs and professors, and the flags of “Seagull Volunteer Team” to the representatives of female students.
Dang Shuwen, who is the leader of the municipal March 8th Red Banner, a female pacesetter in the municipal education system, as well as a teacher from School of Air Transportation, Shi Yitong, a female student from School of Marxism, and Cai Ting respectively shared their experience at their work, study and the “Seagull” program. Their stories have greatly inspired the female staff and students of SUES to go forward and strive hard.
After that, the students and faculty members then brought wonderful performances.
In 2023, Women's Work Committee of SUES will continuously strengthen the construction of the cooperative education mechanism among local businesses, the University and society, and further build the platform for mutual integration between the University and enterprises. With the opening of Engineering Bay, the guidance of Women's Work Committee of Shanghai Municipal Education System, the support of Municipal Women's Enterprise Association, and the joint efforts of Women's Work Committee, Student Affairs Department, Youth League Committee and other departments of SUES, Engineering Bay will provide female students with a shelter to grow rapidly—a warm and successful shelter!
