Zhang Shi, a SUES student on the aeromodeling team of School of Air Transportation’s Double-innovation laboratory, recently competed in the China Aeromodelling Design Challenge in Wuzhong, Ningxia on the Schools behalf and achieved excellent results, taking third place in the Remote-Controlle Stunt group and sixth place in the Remote-Controlled electric glider group.

Despite confronting 200 teams from 32 provinces and municipalities across the country, Zhang Shi resisted the pressure to compete against world champions, national champions, and aerospace modeling elites. He performed to his level of preparation, adopted reasonable competition planning and methods, and achieved outstanding results.

The China Aeromodelling Design Challenge is an intellectual, athletic, and fun sporting competition that fully develops the professional knowledge and skill levels of School of Air Transportation students.
