From August 18 to 20, the finals of the 5th Shenhao CupChina Postgraduate Robot Innovation and Design Competition was held in Changsha, Hunan Province, with 288 teams from 95 training units selected as finalists. SUES managed to register nine teams. Team Stop Easy and Team Mechanical Fighter from School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering won second and third place respectively in the national competition. This is the best performance of SUES since it began competing in the competition.
The China Postgraduate Robot Innovation and Design Competition is directed by the Ministry’s Department of Degree Management and Postgraduate Education, and organized by Association of Chinese Graduate Education and China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science Center. It is one of the theme competitions of China Graduate Student Innovation Practice Competition Series. The China Postgraduate Robot Innovation and Design Competition is based on the national strategic objective of “Manufacturing Power” and aims to develop high-level scientific and technological innovation talents in the field of robotics, enhance postgraduate students’ robotics innovation and design capabilities, contribute to the creation of the robotics industry ecosystem, and promote the innovative development of robotics science, technology, and industry. New robotics concepts, technologies, and products are all included in the entries for this competition, which is committed to pushing the boundaries of science and technology while also addressing the nation's most pressing needs, the economy’s main battleground, and the lives and health of the citizens. It focuses on evaluating graduate students' capacity to understand social requirements, create original designs, and implement important technology.
