SUES held an academic sharing session with Edinburgh Napier University (UK)

On September 20, Naomi Graham, Vice Principal of Edinburgh Napier University, UK, and her delegation visited SUES and held an academic sharing session. Vice President of SUES Xia Chunming met with the guests. Also there were the heads of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, as well as students from School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Art and Design, and School of Urban Railway Transportation.



Vice President Xia Chunming gave Vice Principal Naomi Graham and her group a warm welcome for their visit. He expressed that in the past decade that the two universities have worked together, Edinburgh Napier University has always been one of the most loyal and friendly partners of SUES. He also indicated that since the two universities started working together in 2014, there have been many meetings and close exchanges between them, and faculty and students from both China and the UK have made deep friendships and had good results from working together. He hopes that in the future, based on the new state of international cooperation in the field of education, both sides can come up with new ways to work together, try out new ways to work together, and give faculty and students of the two universities more chances to learn and grow in a wider international field.


Naomi Graham expressed her sincere gratitude for the warm reception of SUES. She agreed with Vice President Xia's focus on how well the two universities work together and what they have accomplished. She also appreciated the cross-cultural communication skills demonstrated by SUES faculty and students during mutual visits. She was anticipating getting the two universities to work together even more. She also expresses her approval for SUES's efforts to enhance student learning and develop their skills.


The environment of the sharing session was warm, the teachers and students present actively engaged in conversation with the teachers from Edinburgh Napier University, and the students' reactions to the sharing session were very positive.


During the visit, Vice Principal Naomi Graham and her delegation visited the relevant laboratories of SUES and got acquainted with instruction and research at SUES. It is hoped that future cooperation between the two universities would grow and contribute to the expansion of Sino-British educational and cultural exchanges.
