SUES Holds 2023 Sino-Swiss Cooperative Education Joint Management Committee Meeting

On October 20th, SUES and Swiss University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons (FHGR) held a meeting of 2023 Sino-Swiss Joint Management Committee for Cooperative Education. SUES President Yu Tao, Vice President Xia Chunming, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office Wang Qin, Dean of Vocational College Zheng Shubin, and Vice Dean Xiao Qian attended the meeting. Members of the management committee, including Jürg Kessler, FHGR President, Andreas Deuber, Director of International Cooperation, and Thuc Lan Tran, Director of Sino-Swiss Cooperation Projects, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Xia Chunming. 




This meeting is a joint management committee meeting between the two universities, held in a face-to-face manner after a 4-year interval. President Yu Tao and President Jürg Kessler expressed cordial greetings to all members of both management committees. President Yu Tao pointed out that this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of SUES and the 10th anniversary of the Sino-Swiss cooperation project. In Chinese culture, number Ten means goodliness and perfection, and represents a number of perfection. We look forward to closer, higher quality, and broader cooperation between the two universities in the future, and the cooperative development to other fields.


President Jürg Kessler reviewed the ten-year history of the cooperative education project. He pointed out that over the past decade, both sides have continuously deepened understanding and mutual trust, maintained smooth communication and friendly consultation, and are striving towards the common goals of both sides. He looks forward to comprehensive cooperation in the future.

Zheng Shubin, Andreas Deuber, and Thuc Lan Tran respectively introduced the 2023 Sino-Swiss cooperative education project from different aspects such as conditions of students, financial budget, curriculum adjustment, faculty visits, and teaching quality management, and reached multiple consensus in the above aspects.



The two sides jointly stated that they will take the 10th anniversary of the Sino-Swiss cooperation in educational projects as an opportunity to promote in-depth and practical cooperation in a wider range of fields in the future.
