On the afternoon of October 28, the unveiling ceremony of the subway train of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai University of Engineering Science and the first council of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd. Urban Railway Transportation Modern Industry College were successfully held.
Li Jiang, Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee, Yu Tao, President of SUES, Bi Xiangli, Chairman of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd., Zhang Lingxiang, Vice President of the Shengtong Metro Group, Wang Yansong, Vice President of SUES, Shao Weizhong, Visiting Professor and former Vice President of Shentong Metro, attended the event. Zhang Lingxiang, Vice President of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd., gave a background introduction to the unveiling train of Shanghai Metro Line 1, a comprehensive laboratory of railway vehicle structure and simulated driving jointly built by colleges and enterprises.
After the unveiling ceremony, President Yu Tao and Chairman Bi Xiangli went to 8A509 of the Modern Transportation Engineering Center to participate in the first council of the Modern Industry College of Urban Railway Transportation. The council was chaired by Wang Yansong, Vice President of SUES.
President Yu Tao indicated that the unveiling of the laboratory once again demonstrated the solid foundation of cooperation between Shentong Metro and SUES. He put forward three key words.
The first is gratitude, thanks to Shentong Metro for its strong support to SUES’ work and School of Urban Railway Transportation over the past 18 years; The second is to look forward to the joint application of the National Modern Industry College with Shentong Metro; The third is cooperation. It is necessary to run an industrial college like a university, and integrate the first-line teaching content into the talent training plan by hiring part-time teachers. He also emphasized that it is necessary to regularly explore the cutting-edge development issues of the enterprise with Shentong and solve the practical problems of the enterprise, so that we are able to formulate a regular exchange mechanism and establish a comprehensive modern industrial college.
Chairman Bi Xiangli pointed out that the primary productive force for the high-quality development of Shentong Metro is talent. In the construction of modern industrial colleges, it is necessary to improve the understanding and cognition of conceptual knowledge and increase the comprehensiveness of professional training in teaching. In terms of scientific research, the integration of faculty and scientific research resources of both sides is committed to solving the problems encountered by the industry in production and operation; In terms of talent training, college students can enter the enterprise early to participate in internship and practice activities. Vice President Zhang Lingxiang pointed out that the Modern Industry College will continue to update the compilation of teaching materials on the direction of rail through cooperation and interaction between universities and enterprises around the development of the railway transportation industry in the future.
