On November 19, the award ceremony of the “TI Cup” 2023 National Electronic Design Contest for College Students was held at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and the Intelligent Racing Team (team members: Yan Yumeng, Wei Yang and Wang Jiayuan) of Engineering Training Center, SUES won the national first prize.
The National Electronic Design Contest for College Students, jointly initiated by Department of Higher Education of Ministry of Education and Department of Personnel and Education of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is held every two years. It is currently one of the largest, most extensive and most influential electronic information discipline competitions in China. Based on the application designs of electronic circuits and integrated circuits, combined with teaching practice and the current hot industrial technologies such as new energy and artificial intelligence, the proposition of this contest has set a variety of competition questions involving the application of modern electronic technologies such as analog-digital hybrid circuits and embedded systems, aiming to promote the improvement of quality of students’ engineering ability training, and at the same time, to promote the reform of the curriculum system and the curriculum content of information and electronic disciplines in institutions of higher learning. The “TI Cup” 2023 National Electronic Design Contest for College Students has attracted 20,939 teams from 1,134 universities across the country. After the review by the experts and the evaluation of the organizing committee, finally 360 teams won the national first prize, 975 teams won the national second prize, of which the proportion of first prize winners was about 1.7%, and that of second prize winners 4.7%.
In the past 3 years, the Engineering Training Center of SUES has won 2 first prizes and 3 second prizes in the National Electronic Design Contest for College Students, 1 first prize and 8 second prizes in the National Intelligent Car Contest for College Students, and 1 gold award and 1 silver award in the China Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition for College Students.
