2023 SUES Faculty and Student New Year's Run event Held Successfully

On December 20, SUES Faculty and Student New Year's Run event kicked off at the Learning Square. SUES President, Yu Tao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SUES Committee Men Yanping, Vice President Zhu Xiaoqing, along with more than seven hundred teachers and students, actively participated in the event.

 


President Yu Tao announced the start of the 2023 SUES Faculty and Student  New Year's Run event .

 

Vice President Zhu Xiaoqing delivered a speech, encouraging all faculty and students to adopt proper exercise methods for a healthy lifestyle. She emphasized the importance of consistent daily exercise and urged everyone to apply the transferable values of sports, such as teamwork, perseverance, and tenacity, to our learning and work, contributing to the challenges and development of our nation and university.

 


With the collective command from SUES leaders, faculty and students dashed out from the starting line, running along Tengfei Road of SUES. The event site was adorned with flags and banners, creating an atmosphere of joy and festivity. The biting cold wind couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm and vitality brought by the sport. Faculty and students, brimming with anticipation for the new year, ran towards the vibrant and sunny 2024 with high spirits.

 


The Faculty and Student New Year's Run has a long history at SUES and remains one of the most popular sports events. The smooth execution of this event plays a positive role in adhering to the “health comes first” educational philosophy and fostering a dynamic campus sports atmosphere. It effectively helps faculty and students enjoy the pleasure of physical exercise, enhance physical fitness, cultivate a sound personality, and strengthen their willpower.
