On December 29th, SUES hosted the Social Practice Launch Ceremony and Training Session for the 2024 Winter Vacation Recruitment Lecture Team. The event centered around the theme “I am the spokesperson for SUES”. Vice President Xia Chunming attended the meeting, along with Rao Pinhua, Director of Academic Affairs Office, Zhou Huiyan, Director of Admissions Office, vice deans responsible for instruction from various schools of SUES, and volunteers from the Winter Vacation Recruitment Lecture Team.
Vice President Xia Chunming delivered a message to the volunteers, urging them as the youth of the new era to actively engage in volunteer service, shoulder responsibilities in the construction of China’s modernization, seize the opportunity of the winter vacation recruitment lecture social practice, showcase their youthful vigor, uphold the honor of their alma mater, and demonstrate the strength and charm of SUES students through sincere and genuine actions. He encouraged them to become the most outstanding spokespersons for SUES.
Zhou Huiyan warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude to the volunteers participating in the 2024 Recruitment Lecture Team. She provided a detailed overview of SUES’ recruitment promotion efforts in 2023 and outlined the plan for the Winter Vacation Recruitment Lecture Team in 2024. Over 90 volunteers are set to visit more than 70 high schools in 20 provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities) nationwide, delivering recruitment lectures to express their gratitude to the alma mater and promote the essence of SUES, conveying the spirit of SUES students to society. Rao Pinhua presented the flag to the Winter Vacation Recruitment Lecture Team.
Under the leadership of volunteer representative student Liu Danrui, the attending volunteers took an oath, pledging to become outstanding spokespersons for SUES.
Following the launch ceremony, Wan Shan, Head of the Admissions Office, conducted training for the participating volunteers. He outlined the requirements for recruitment promotion work, provided a detailed explanation of the objectives, and key points of the upcoming lecture activities, ensuring that the volunteers gained a clearer understanding of the forthcoming events.
